Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development: Identify and target new Commercial & Industrial clients for solar and energy solutions.
- Lead Generation: Build a strong pipeline through prospecting, networking, and market research.
- Client Relationship Management: Maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers and manage all client communications.
- Technical & Commercial Proposals: Coordinate with engineering teams to prepare proposals, site surveys, load assessments, and financial/ROI calculations.
- Sales Cycle Ownership: Manage the complete sales process from lead qualification to proposal, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Coordination With Internal Teams: Work closely with engineering, operations, and finance teams to ensure smooth project execution after sales.
- Market Research: Keep track of market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to refine sales strategies.
- Reporting: Update CRM systems, maintain sales pipelines, and provide weekly/monthly sales reports to management.
- Client Advisory: Educate clients on technical solutions, benefits, energy savings, and cost-benefit analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Energy Management, or a related field (preferred).
- 3–5 years of relevant B2B sales experience, ideally with commercial/industrial clients in the energy, power, or solar sector.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of solar/energy solutions such as solar PV systems, net metering, hybrid systems, EPC/PPA models, and ROI calculations.
- Proven ability to meet or exceed sales targets and manage long sales cycles.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple clients, and organize tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings, site visits, and project evaluations.
